Allergy-Proof your Living Room:
Carpet/Floors:
Carpets should be vacuumed regularly - at least once or twice a week.
Empty or replace the vacuum bag before it reaches full capacity. Consider
using a vacuum cleaner that uses a HEPA filter. If allergies are severe,
an option would be to remove the carpeting and install hardwood flooring.
 To
kill dust mites often found in carpets, we suggest using a floor vapor steam
cleaner such as the SteamVortex
with carpet glide attachment or the VaporStorm
vapor steam cleaning & sanitizing system.
Steam cleaning has been found to be one of the
most effective ways to kill and control dust mites because dust mites can
not control their body temperature and are therefore killed easily by
extreme heat.
Furniture: Depending
on the furniture type, vacuum and dust regularly with a damp cloth.
Dust mites in furniture can also be
controlled and destroyed by the
VaporStorm
steam cleaning system.
Please be aware that some fabrics/surfaces
are not recommended for steam cleaning. Always test a small unnoticeable
area first before cleaning large areas.

Rugs: Rugs should be
washed/laundered weekly to remove dust and dust mites, animal hair and
dander, pollen, and mold. Rugs can also be shaken outdoors. To aid in the
removal of dust mites, we suggest using the
VaporStorm vapor steam cleaning &
sanitizing system. The triangle brush or the floor brush will aid in
this removal. Both brushes can be covered with cloths to 'soften' the
intensity of the steam.
Windows: Clean window
frames and sills regularly for mold or mildew. Keep windows closed during
pollen season or when there is an outside air advisory warning.
For an efficient way to clean window sills,
we suggest vacuuming out any free particles of dirt or dust and then using
the round brush of the
VaporStorm,
loosen the remaining dirt and debris and then wipe out with a damp cloth.
Dry again using a clean cloth once the area is sufficiently clean.
Windows
will shine like never before after using
the window squeegee attachment on the
VaporStorm
steam cleaner. Using a
top to bottom motion wipe the squeegee attachment down the glass with the
steam engaged. Dirt and dust is removed instantly to provide a clear clean
shine. Always make sure that the glass is at a normal room temperature
before cleaning to avoid cracking the glass.
Walls: Clean walls at
least every six months to remove dust and other build up.
Using the covered floor brush attachment of
the
VaporStorm,
walls can be cleaned in minutes. Use a top to bottom constant motion and
do not stay in one area for a long period of time.

was a fixer-upper and when we used the steamer on the walls and ceilings,

Pets: Pet areas
should be cleaned regularly. Bathe pets often. Clean animal
beds/tanks/cages often. Consider keeping pets outside for most of the day
if possible.
