Q.  What is Vapor Steam Cleaning?

Vapor steam cleaning is the latest cleaning technology available that provides deep penetrating cleaning ability without the dependant use of chemical additives.

Originally developed in Italy, vapor steam cleaners use a minimal amount of water to create vapor steam (5-6%water), which is then combined with an output of pressure to clean and sanitize almost any surface in one easy step. Also, because vapor steam cleaners emit high temperature steam, they are extremely effective in instantly killing dust mites, viruses, molds, and fungi.

Q.  Where does the dirt go?

The final destination of the dirt depends largely upon which tool you use to clean a surface and also the capability of the vapor steam cleaner you are using.

For example, if you were using the triangle brush of the VaporStorm with the triangle brush pad, the superheated vapor would pass through the pad making the pad moist. The moist pad would then absorb everything that was removed during the cleaning process. This same process applies to the Steam Vortex.

When using tools without an absorption pad, you would simply remove any excess moisture from the cleaned surface with a terry cloth or other cleaning towel.

Q.  What can I clean with a Vapor Steam Cleaner?

Vapor Steam cleaning can be used in hundreds of ways! From kitchen cleaning to golf club cleaning and everywhere in between.

Be aware that the degree of cleaning ability the vapor steam cleaner provides will depend upon the quality of the unit. You can't expect an entry level vapor steam cleaner to be as effective as a higher end unit.

Q.  Is there anything that I shouldn't clean with a Vapor Steam Cleaner?

There are a few precautions that should be taken when cleaning with vapor steam cleaners because of the high temperature steam. We recommend NOT using them on fine silks and delicate materials such as velour. Other heat sensitive materials can also be effected like exterior paint-work of cars, thin plastics, and unsealed flooring.

If ever in doubt, test a small hidden area before beginning extensive cleaning.

Q.  Why haven't I heard more about Vapor Steam Cleaners?

Don't worry, you will. Vapor steam cleaners have been used extensively in Europe for years and have been used elsewhere by hospitals, retirement care facilities, the food service industry, hospitality industry and other government institutions such as schools and universities.

There are a few factors that come into play of why they aren't more mainstream. The first could be the fact that they hurt chemical sales, so stores and janitorial supply companies opt not to promote something that would conflict with such a huge market.

Also, because water is the only thing necessary for intense cleaning, there are no after sales made on additional chemicals.
